A barn is an agricultural building primarily located on farms and used for many purposes notably for the housing of livestock and storage of crops In addition barns may be used for equipment storage as a covered workplace such as threshing The word barn is also used to describe buildings used for uses such as a tobacco barn or dairy barn An archaic word for one type of barn meant for keeping cattle was byre.
The term "barn raising" describes the construction of barns since the 18th and 19th centuries in rural North America (U.S. and Canada). In the past, a barn was often the first, largest, and most costly structure built by a family who settled in a new area. Barns were essential structures for storage of hay and keeping of horses and cattle, which in those days were an inseparable part of farming. Memories are one of the biggest ways to experience emotions of all types. Photography was that answer to capture moments that were ignored by others that would elicit an emotion.
