Description
Found these lovely stairs in an entertainment building and made them into a dream fantasy. The stairs were beautiful in their colors alone, so they lent themselves to this type of abstract. It gives your imagination a spin.
Like abstract art, Abstract photography concentrates on shape, form, colour, pattern and texture. The viewer is often deprived of the whole object with the focus on only a small part of the object. As a viewer of an abstract shot you may only know the essence of the abstraction or understand it by what is implied. Normally the object or image will not be a literal view of the subject.
Photography takes many forms and incorporates many different styles, most of which either fall into the categories of documentary or fine art. It is in the second category that we find abstract photography, a means of visual expression thats purpose is not to inform the viewer, but to engage and excite.
