Description
THERE is a temptation, when visitors arrive in this remote farming town, to wander through the golden field painted by Andrew Wyeth in his most famous work, “Christina’s World.” At least that was the case for me one misty June morning, when I trudged along a well-traveled path of flattened straw and crumbly dirt clods near the farmhouse once owned by the painting’s subject, Christina Olson, and her brother Alvaro.
