Artist's Description
The cougar (Puma concolor), also known as the mountain lion, puma, panther, or catamount, is a large cat of the family Felidae native to the Americas. Its range, from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes of South America, is the greatest of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere.[3] An adaptable, generalist species, the cougar is found in most American habitat types. It is the second heaviest cat in the Western Hemisphere, after the jaguar. About Marcia Lee Jones

Where does one start with a quick biography, which will give some insight to the artist inside? For me, photography was a way to get my feelings out by capturing moments in my life. We have so many of these coming down from the mountains and claiming the pasture areas, from being kicked out of the older cats (2 mile per cat radius) territories, the younger cats have no where to go since the wolves have been coming in too, these cats are beautiful, scary, but beautiful! this is an image thats hit home and its a lovely image of this beautiful animal!!
